Everything published here describes penile implant surgery in general terms. It cannot take account of your medical history, your medication, your examination findings or your investigations, and it is therefore no substitute for a consultation with a qualified clinician who has assessed you.

No doctor–patient relationship

Reading this site, or sending an enquiry through it, does not by itself create a doctor–patient relationship. A remote opinion given before examination is provisional. Any recommendation is confirmed, revised or withdrawn after you have been examined in person.

How our content is written and reviewed

• Clinical pages are written by the editorial team and reviewed by the operating surgeon before publication. The author, the reviewer, the publication date and the last review date are shown on every clinical page.
• Device descriptions follow the manufacturers’ own published technical information. Where manufacturers differ or where evidence is limited, we say so instead of picking a side.
• Where a complication rate, device survival figure or satisfaction rate would need a citation, we either cite the source or state that we are not publishing a number. We do not publish figures we cannot attribute.
• We do not publish before-and-after photographs, and we will never present stock, illustrative or artificially generated imagery as a real patient result.

What we do not claim

• We do not claim a 100% success rate, a zero infection rate, or any guaranteed outcome.
• We do not claim that an implant increases penile size, or that it is a cosmetic enhancement.
• We do not claim that a device lasts a lifetime. Implants are mechanical and may eventually require replacement.
• We do not claim that one manufacturer’s device is superior to another’s for all patients.
• We do not publish aggregate ratings or review counts for this procedure, and no aggregate rating markup is used on this site.
